Reflection...

Our trip is almost over and it needs a bit of reflection just before we leave. I'm not going to translate this, but hopefully the French who are reading this could understand. Anyway, the first few days I was worried of how my students would do or how much fun they would have because they seemed quiet and very reserved on the plane and for a few days when we got there. Then all of the sudden it all changed. Now they're having the time of their lives experiencing many things about the culture of "Sitka." Some of the exchanges have reached levels that is so extraordinary that seeing it is so cool. What I mean is how certain few were able to bond with their correspondent so well making true friends and very awesome memories. I'm so happy for them and hopefully this friendship is a beginning of a flourishing relationship over the Pond. In addition, most of them are making the best of it here whether teaching others rugby, having bonfires/get-togethers, shopping, etc. It's nice.

Parting and leaving is usually the hardest. We're leaving in a few days and from my experience it's always hard. Also you just don't want to stop when having so much fun. But I hope that this experience for these students would have a lasting impression on their lives. So in conclusion this trip was successful. :-)
